Hello Lovelies!
Another post on Health. Sorry guys!! I am very
health concious. So every time I think of writing a new post, first topic that
comes in my mind is Health.:) We all know in our hearts that what is good or
bad for us and we shouldn't do these things if we want to stay healthy - but
which ones can you get away with occasionally and which ones just aren't worth
the risk?...
Here Are Some Habits That I Just Wrote Down Together For You On Which We Should Keep Eye On:
Not
drinking enough water
We all know.. We should Drink LOTS OF WATER!!! Our bodies
are made of mostly water, so skip the Soda at your meals, skip the juice with
the unnecessary sugars and grab a nice glass of water and you know Dehydration
is no joke - and drinking several glasses of water a day is the best way to
avoid it. As a rough thumb rule, most people should drink about 2.5 to 3 litres
of fluid a day. Your body needs it to get rid of waste products and to transport
nutrients around the body. Yes you can get the fluid you need from other drinks
too - but water is the best choice as it contains no additional sugar or
calories.
Not
eating fruits and vegetables
Fruits and vegetables provide a range of valuable
nutrients like fiber, vitamins and potassium. Everyone likes that you can pass
on the fruit and just focus on the veg. Vegetables are better than fruit
nutritionally and less sugary. The only vitamin/mineral that veg is vital for
is vitamin C. You can get it from liver (not many people know that!) but you'd
need to eat it raw. Just think you are eating raw liver daily, veg is vital to
get vitamin C. By not eating fruits and vegetables, you may be deprived of
those potential benefits.
Eating
expired food
I’ll tell you what one day I was boiling milk and I
didn't check its expiry date and the milk turn sour. There’s nothing worse than
making a cup of tea and realising your milk is past its date. It may be
tempting to just pour it in anyway and hope for the best J- but
it wouldn't be smart. Healthy foods labelled ‘use by’ tend to go off quickly and
potentially can put your health at risk by causing food poisoning. So please
always check expiry date first before using packed food.
Wearing
high heels everyday
Higheel Hangover -You
know that feeling of extreme misery you get after a night of dancing in
four-inch heels? During aches and pains, if you frequently wearing high heels
can put strain on your back and lower legs, adversely affect joints and muscles
and can eventually cause arthritis or foot deformities.I know We can’t resist
ourselves from wearing heels no matter what it costs. So atleast try to limit heel
heights, don’t wear heels higher than three inches and wear supportive shoes
for work and walking long distances.
Skipping
Breakfast
Break..Breakfast is often lauded as “the most
important meal of the day”(one should have it as a King size meal) - but are
you doing any damage by fasting until lunch? There are some studies that show
those who eat breakfast are less likely to 'overeat' later in the day. Skipping
meals, especially breakfast, can actually make weight control more difficult.
Breakfast skippers tend to eat more food than usual at the next meal, or nibble
on high-calorie snacks to stave off hunger. So guys please start your everyday
morning with lovely breakfast for better health.
Drinking
lots of coffee
I love coffee ..Why
everything that taste good has bad effect and the one that taste bad has good
effect.. WHY MyLord! WHY! So girls, If you’ve got a coffee addiction you’re
likely putting strain on your bank account - but your health probably isn’t
suffering. But Too much caffeine can contribute to short-term side effects such
as hyperactivity and disturbed sleep. And moderate intakes, (2-3 mugs a day)
can contribute to your fluid intake.
Sitting
all day long
Sitting all day long(big health problem) specially
engineers the one does computer work. There’s been plenty of negative effects
of an office job and how dangerous it can be to sit in front of a computer for
eight or more hours a day. Yet so many of us don’t have a choice. Of course, one
option is to get a treadmill desk (jokes
apart) - but a more practical solution is
to take breaks and stay active. If you work at a desk job of course it is
better to do lots of exercise in your free time but it is still bad to be
sitting at a desk all day. Some got posture problem and its awful for your
neck, shoulders and back. It’s also bad for veins in the legs and weight
control. Everyone should get up and walk around for 15 minutes in every hour.
Not
washing your hands
Uuummmm..This is a very bad habit but yes people
does avoid washing their hands. You might have witnessed someone come out of
the toilet and walk straight out the door without washing their hands - and you
probably cringed.
As our parents taught us from day one, wash your
hands before having food and after using the loo is essential. And yes I agree it’s
not a bad idea to give them a scrub before eating or cooking and after holding
those icky poles on the Tube.
Just give it a thought “Your hands will come into
contact with germs every time you touch something”. Doe its impossible to keep
your hands completely germ-free, washing them regularly is the best way to
prevent infections such as colds and flu and one more thing you should also avoid
over washing them as this can aggravate the skin.
